About GlowSpeak

Alternatives to speech for communication, such as Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), encompass a broad range of tools and techniques. Unaided AAC focuses on techniques that do not require additional tools, such as gesturing, signing, or vocalisations. Aided AAC includes tools such as communication boards, speech-generating devices (SGDs), and AAC apps for tablets and phones.

GlowSpeak is an Android and iOS AAC app that will be available for free in January 2026.

This project is currently underway with an Institutional Review Board (IRB)-approved survey through the Georgia Institute of Technology.
